Team The Electricians write:
As soon as we heard about the competition we wanted to enter. We got the idea from a book we found in the library at school.
Our film is about a professor and a student. The student is having a lesson on electricity. The student doesn’t understand and puts the electric conductor on her tongue. Then she understands! She explains it to the professor after her lesson.
It took a while to get it right but this is our final copy. We wish we had dressed up a bit more. Overall we enjoyed making the film. > It took a while to get it right but this is our final copy. We wish we had dressed up a bit more. Overall we enjoyed making the film.
Our team was two nine year-olds and two seven year-old “helpers”. Our mums helped us with the filming and the props.
This film is nominated for the SciCast Awards 2010, in the category:
IoP Best SciCast Physics Film (Primary).
Wow. I’m not sure whether to call these ‘confident’ performances, or just plain ‘loud.’
Nah, I’m joking. It’s lovely to see a SciCast film that’s been made by a group of friends and their parents, rather than yet another school lab. This is simple, clear, and well-judged for time and content. Running around the kitchen is particularly funny, and the whiteboard credits are thoroughly charming.
Good stuff.
