Unsuspecting Bob wins a golden ticket for a forces adventure of a life time… only perhaps all is not a good as it seems.

This packs a lot into its two minutes or so, and I love the idea of a lego minifig winning a golden ticket for an adventure holiday. Sometimes daft devices like that let you pull together a whole range of stuff that otherwise wouldn’t be connected.

The more you do it, though, the more things you have to keep straight in your head. So in this film, it’s a shame the balloon is referred to as a ‘hot air’ balloon, and it’s also said to contain helium. I’ve blown up my fair share of balloons, and I’m pretty certain that’s not filled with helium.

But don’t mind me, I’m just a perfectionist. SciCast is about all sorts of things: film-making, sure, but also team work, and having an excuse to do practical science. On that score, this film wins big-time. Have we had a film with more experiments in it than this?
