SciCast Resources

‘Film making’ has that slightly mysterious ring to it, if you’ve never done it before. It’s a combination of organisation, artistry and technology that makes it seem enticing and daunting at the same time. Of course, this is precisely why it’s such a beneficial way to spend your time. Making films is difficult, but the sort of difficult that most people find enjoyable.

Don’t worry. We have lots of information that should answer most of your questions, but if after reading you still have questions please get in touch with us, we’re here to help.

Film School

The first place to look is Film School, our huge guide to all things SciCast. There’s a wealth of information there, and it’s worth exploring.

Handbook

For those who prefer everything in one place, we produced a Handbook in early 2008. We don’t have any printed copies left, but you’re welcome to download the PDF (5Mb).

Please note that the Handbook was our starting point for the current version of Film School. The latter isn’t as pretty, but it is more up-to-date. In particular, the sections on Licensing and ‘Using Other Peoples’ Stuff’ are clearer and more relevant.

Poster

Along with the Handbook, we also produced an A3 poster. Again, they’re all gone… but they’re still rather dashing, and you can print your own by downloading this PDF (860Kb).
